Your child is very much unsafe in the predator-filled world that is the internet. As a parent, it’s important that you control what your child consumes – particularly in their formative years.
The best parental control apps help
you achieve this goal, enabling you to control and observe what your kids do on
their phone. In this article, we identify 5 of the best
parental control apps to make parenting a tad easier for you.
1. Qustudio
Qustudio is one of only a few apps
that work fairly comfortably for both iOS/Mac and
Android/Windows. The app has a friendly interface and lets you successfully block
apps and texts, set time limits, track location, set safe locations, and filter
web content for your kids.
Norton Family is one of the more
customizable apps on this list. Amongst its primary offerings are web
filtering, time schedule, location tracking, and app, text and call blocking.
Like most apps in this category, though, it works better on Android than iOS.
3. OurPact
OurPact is one of the best
performing parental control apps we ever used. Its geofencing feature works
great, as does its app management, time scheduling, location tracking, and web
filtering. Unfortunately, it doesn’t filter more than porn on browsers and
currently struggles on iOS.
A bargain parental control app,
Kaspersky provides excellent monitoring capabilities for parents. Its free plan
enables web filtering, app management, and time schedule. And its premium
version further allows geofencing, call/text management, and even YouTube
management. It does work better on Android and Windows, though.
ESET Parental Control specializes
in allowing parental control on Android devices. The
app works great for location tracking, time and app management, and geofencing.
You may take some time understanding its user interface, though, and you’d have
to do without text/call management.
